Retail Store Manager Duties:

  • Oversee the overall operations and management of retail locations
  • Interview, train, and supervise employees
  • Set and approve schedules
  • Schedule employees and plan stores to ensure optimal efficiency and productivity
  • Maintain budgets
  • Review and maintain records of inventory and expenses
  • Ensure all operations comply with all local, state, and federal laws
  • Ensure safety standards are met
  • Maintain smooth flow of work by establishing and enforcing company policies and company standards
  • Maintain accurate records of time and work, including payroll and accounting procedures
  • Collaborate with and support other store managers

Retail Store Manager Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize and execute daily operations, including hiring and scheduling of team, directing sales and customer service, leading and motivating team, and maintaining appearance and safety standards
  • Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, storing, and selling products
  • Manage marketing campaigns, promotions, and pricing strategies
  • Develop and maintain store vision, culture, and brand through advertising, social media, and other marketing tactics
  • Analyze sales, marketing, and financial data; recommend action plans and solutions
  • Partner with Operations team on store repositioning and growth
  • Maintain records and documents, including time cards, time sheets, and expenses
