Job Brief:

We're looking for Route Driver to fill an opening in our company. The ideal candidate for this position will have a clean driving record and a valid driver's license. He or she will be responsible for picking up and delivering our products to our customers in a timely and professional manner. Route Driver Duties:

  • Select, train, supervise, and evaluate route driver employees
  • Maintain efficient delivery schedule
  • Oversee and conduct safety training for delivery drivers
  • Ensure drivers follow all safety rules and procedures
  • Execute and monitor quality control measures
  • Ensure drivers comply with company policies and procedures
  • Maintain all company vehicles

Route Driver Responsibilities:

  • Deliver packages to customers' homes according to specific routes within a specified delivery window
  • Drive assigned vehicles to ensure their maintenance, cleanliness, and compliance with all applicable DOT regulations
  • Check vehicles, including tires and fluid levels, at the start of each route and at the end of a delivery
  • Accept packages and verify their accuracy, package contents, and customer signature on each delivery
  • Complete mileage reports and maintain accurate records of trip information
  • Perform other jobs as assigned
