The Sales Account Executive (SEA) is an entry-level position that is typically the first position within sales.

The SEA is responsible for selling products or services to new or existing customers.

In addition to making sales, the SEA helps other members of the sales team with other tasks, such as conducting presentations, training customers, or providing technical support.

The SEA is also responsible for selling products and/or services within a particular territory.

The territory may be national or international in scope.

They will be responsible for developing relationships with new and existing customers, managing accounts, and resolving customer issues. Sales Account Executive Duties:

Sales Account Executive Responsibilities:

  • Develop a sales strategy and budget to meet or exceed revenue goals, ensure all team members are completely equipped to launch a successful campaign, and motivate the team to meet or exceed quarterly and annual targets
  • Generate new business and cultivate existing prospects in targeted regions, using trade shows, events, and seminars as primary lead generation tools
  • Gain and maintain deep industry knowledge and leverage it to identify high-value prospects who will make ideal customers
  • Coordinate with the business development team to ensure sales targets are met
  • Maintain accurate sales records, including revenue, expenses, and pipeline forecasting

Requirements And Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, economics, finance, or related field
  • 2+ years experience in sales or a related field
  • Knowledge of prospecting and relationship building
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Strong computer skills
