A SharePoint administrator is a person who administers a SharePoint server farm, which is made up of one or more SharePoint servers that are used to host the same SharePoint application.

These administrators may configure and manage SharePoint servers, farms, and sites.

They may also perform tasks such as initial configuration, installation, upgrades, and backups.

SharePoint Administrator Duties:
