We're looking for a Social Studies Teacher who is passionate about their subject and who can engage students in the material. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of the subject matter and be able to instill a love of learning in their students.

• Evaluate student progress, and work with department colleagues to ensure students have access to appropriate resources
• Plan, organize, and administer classroom activities according to school guidelines
• Provide individual and small group instruction, using differentiated learning techniques
• Create and grade assignments and tests
• Provide feedback and counseling to students
• Engage in professional activities, including professional development, conference participation, and collaboration with other professionals
• Support students, parents, and community

• Bachelor’s degree in social studies, secondary education
• Knowledge of American history
• Experience in teaching history and civics
• Knowledge of current and controversial issues
• Knowledge of child psychology
• Ability to create lesson plans
• Ability to communicate effectively
