We’re looking for a Sports Medicine Physician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be board certified in Sports Medicine and have experience working with athletes of all levels. They will be responsible for providing medical care to athletes, as well as developing and implementing injury prevention programs. Sports Medicine Physician Duties:

  • Treat and care for patients with athletic injuries
  • Diagnose and provide medical treatment for sports injuries
  • Assist with rehabilitation of athletes after injuries
  • Provide sports physicals and developmental sports screening
  • Treat athletes for common musculoskeletal and neuromuscular pathologies
  • Perform and supervise physical examinations and other procedures
  • Collaborate with and educate other medical providers and support team
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices in sports medicine
  • Oversee administrative activities of office

Sports Medicine Physician Responsibilities:

  • Doctorate in physical medicine and rehabilitation or medical specialty such as orthopedics, neurology, rheumatology, or neurosurgery
  • 2+ years’ experience as a sports medicine physician
  • Knowledge and ability to treat sports-related injuries of all types
  • Knowledge of advanced sports-related diagnostic techniques and therapeutic

Requirements And Skills:

  • Attend routine sports medicine appointments and treatments, as well as respond to emergency calls as needed
  • Conduct physical exams, diagnose injuries, and develop treatment plans
  • Recommend rehabilitative or therapeutic exercises
  • Formulate and implement treatment plans for athletes and patients
  • Begin-ups and supervise interns
  • Assist in the development and updating of policies and procedures
  • Manage billing and insurance administrative activities
