We’re looking for a Staff Writer who is passionate about writing and has a strong interest in fashion. The ideal candidate will have a strong voice and be able to write engaging and compelling copy.

Staff Writer Duties:

  • Research and write news, features, and interviews, following AP style
  • Keep abreast of breaking news and events
  • Report and write news stories on breaking events as they occur
  • Research, track, and write on timely topics, trends, and issues
  • Maintain and update database of sources and contacts
  • Focus on developing new sources and stories
  • Create and maintain regular contact and rapport with sources
  • Work independently and as part of a team
  • Develop contacts via phone, e-mail, in-person, and on social media
  • Keep story ideas current
  • Develop contacts for timely stories
  • Follow AP style guidelines

Staff Writer Responsibilities:

  • Generate written content, including logo creation, website copy, press releases, and social media updates, while collaborating with other team members to maximize branding efforts
  • Write monthly email newsletters
  • Manage Google AdWords campaigns
  • Write and edit creative briefs
  • Research content topics and keywords

Requirements And Skills:

  • 3+ years experience in writing and editing for print publications
  • Ability to quickly understand and communicate complex ideas and concepts to diverse audiences
  • Strong wordsmithing skills
