A Supply Chain Manager is responsible for implementing and overseeing supply chain management activities.

Supply Chain Manager Duties:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain an effective supply chain program to ensure all materials, tools, and equipment required to meet production needs are available
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and service
  • Identify and tackle problematic issues with efficiency
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships to foster productive cooperation between all departments
  • Develop and administer systems to track inventory levels, usage, and production
  • Maintain a positive, professional image with employees, suppliers, and customers

Supply Chain Manager Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain procedures for purchasing materials, managing inventory, and holding cost targets, and monitor vendors to ensure quality is not compromised
  • Manage purchasing, inventory management, and logistics processes, and handle incoming shipments
  • Maintain and update purchase orders, inventory records, and other documentation
  • Manage the quality assurance, safety, and security of shipping and receiving
  • Develop and implement annual cost saving and quality improvement plans
  • Conduct weekly sales meetings

Requirements And Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Supply Chain Management or Logistics, or other related field
  • 2+ years of experience managing or assisting in supply chain management
  • Knowledge of the relevant practices and procedures of the distribution, warehouse, materials management or procurement
