Swimming Coach Job Description

A swimming coach is a person who teaches people how to swim.

Job Brief:

We’re looking for a Swimming Coach to help us improve our technique and achieve our goals.

Swimming Coach Duties:

  • Develop and implement programs to instruct individuals in the techniques, techniques, and theory of swimming
  • Swim and dive tests, tests, and assessments
  • Provide schedule, lesson plans, and objectives
  • Plan, prepare, and teach swimming courses
  • Perform evaluations, evaluations, and record results
  • Fire drills, fire drills, and emergencies as needed
  • Assist in setting up and maintaining the pool

Swimming Coach Responsibilities:

  • NCCP Level 3 Swimming Coach
  • Swimming experience including competing or coaching competitive swimming
  • Proficient in coaching swim strokes, starts and turns for competitive swimming
  • Experience coaching group exercise classes
  • Experience coaching individual activities

Requirements And Skills:

  • Maintain and supervise proper pool operation facilities and equipment
  • Prepare and maintain pool and training facilities
  • Train swimmers in all skills, ensuring proper form, technique, and safety
  • Monitor swimmers’ progress and, at times, conduct physical evaluations
  • Encourage swimmers to practice and complete assigned exercises
  • Maintain and update swimming team records
  • Research and develop pool programs, including training goals, pool availability, and pool scheduling
  • Monitor swimmers’ use of facilities to promote good sportsmanship
  • Ensure swimmers are familiar with all required safety procedures
