Job Brief:

We're looking for an experienced System Security Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for ensuring the security of our systems and data, and for developing and implementing security policies and procedures. If you have a strong technical background and a passion for security, we want to hear from you.

System Security Engineer Duties:

  • Design, develop, deploy, and maintain secure information systems
  • Develop and implement system security plans
  • Develop, test, and apply security technologies
  • Develop, implement, and monitor appropriate security policies
  • Manage information security programs
  • Review, test, and analyze systems, applications, communication networks, and implementation plans
  • Manage security and risk in operations
  • Review security processes, policies, procedures, and practices
  • Review and evaluate security-related issues, such as monitoring systems, controls, and procedures
  • Identify, review, and evaluate security-related systems and procedures

System Security Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Research and develop security solutions using a variety of technologies, and deliver technical solutions to customers
  • Maintain and improve system security, including data backups, passwords, and firewall rules
  • Support information security audits and investigations
  • Perform vulnerability scans of computer systems for security vulnerabilities
  • Develop and maintain documentation and procedures
  • Perform software source code analysis
  • Research and prepare technical white papers and case studies
  • Create and test engine system security modifications
  • Assist in vendor management
  • Able to respond to and troubleshoot system outages
  • Identify and report on potential security threats
  • Participate in on-call rotation
  • Research and test network security, including firewalls, proxies, and encryption techniques
  • Optimize network performance and reliability
  • Perform security research and conduct technical training
  • Report computer security issues to appropriate business units
  • Perform routine system administration tasks
