Technical Sourcer Duties:

  • Find, evaluate, assess, and qualify technical resources, consulting with the Company’s requirements and budgets
  • Interpret company strategies, policies and programs
  • Partner with the technical manager/director and key team members in the development or revision of technical strategies, policies and programs
  • Manage small projects
  • Act as a technical expert
  • Provide technical expertise in special areas of expertise
  • Assist in identifying and securing candidates for open positions
  • Provide initial screening of candidates
  • Work collaboratively with HR, the hiring manager, and others in developing and executing recruitment strategies
  • Work with hiring managers to develop job descriptions
  • Develop a talent management program (i.e. succession)
  • Support assessment-related activities and processes
  • Promote positive company brand
  • Develop relationships with external recruiting agencies
  • Perform other functions as assigned

Technical Sourcer Responsibilities:

  • Research and contact target companies to identify details of project work scope and requirements, including budget and schedule demands, and estimate labor rates and project expenses in writing
  • Research government resources to identify potential sources of both private and public funding
  • Create and submit written proposals; present proposals to potential clients
  • Review and approve contract documents
  • Write project reviews and progress reports, including budgeting and estimates
  • Manage and oversee subcontracts, purchase orders, and change orders
  • Research local, state, and federal government agencies to identify sources of funding
  • Create new contracts and maintain existing contracts
  • Conduct market research and statistical analysis to determine project feasibility
  • Maintain accurate and updated project records

Requirements And Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or technology
  • 2+ years proven experience in identifying technical solutions to complex business problems
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel
  • Expert knowledge of industry best practices in software engineering, systems architecture, and operations
