Job Brief:

We’re looking for a Technical Writer who can help us develop and document technical processes. The ideal candidate will have experience writing for a variety of audiences and be able to adapt their writing style to meet the needs of each project. They will also be able to work independently to research and develop information while also being able to collaborate with other team members to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Technical Writer Duties:

  • Provide technical documentation to developers, managers, and designers in support of their software projects
  • Ensure documentation is consistent, accurate, comprehensive, and easy to navigate
  • Write page level documentation (e.g., technical reports, white papers, and status reports)
  • Write user documentation (e.g., user manuals, help files)
  • Write “in use” documentation (e.g., status reports, technical bulletins, and project documentation)
  • Provide oversight and approval of all documentation
  • Support project objectives throughout the life of the project
  • Manage your work using project management tools
  • Utilize project management best practices, including requirements gathering, scheduling, tracking, reporting, budgeting, and communication
  • Support testing efforts and assist with bug tracking and resolving

Technical Writer Responsibilities:

  • Engaging with stakeholders to develop high quality content, including technical specifications, user manuals, training documentation, and operations guides
  • Developing user manuals and training materials for internal and external customers
  • Editing and proofreading documents for errors and consistency

Requirements And Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to edit and revise technical documents with accuracy and speed
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and other technical documents
  • Ability to research and resolve
