Job Brief:

We’re looking for Telemedicine Physicians to provide care for our patients remotely using modern technology. Telemedicine is a growing field of medicine that allows doctors to provide care to patients from a distance using video conferencing, phone calls, and other forms of communication. This position offers the opportunity to work from home and provide care to patients across the country.

Telemedicine Physician Duties:

  • Perform remote evaluations of patients via telemedicine
  • Provide medical assessment and consultation to patients via phone
  • Recommend best practices to other providers
  • Investigate and manage patient treatment plans
  • Provide ongoing follow-up care
  • Assist patients in making clinical decisions

Telemedicine Physician Responsibilities:

  • Board certified or board eligible in general or internal medicine or physician assistant
  • 2+ years’ of experience in telemedicine, hospital medicine, internal medicine, or critical care medicine
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a constant eye on quality
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Requirements And Skills:

  • Support rapidly growing telemedicine program
  • Perform medical evaluations, diagnose illnesses, and treat minor acute conditions, including chronic illnesses, using medical diagnoses and treatments established by current medical standards
  • Provide full history and physicals, including in-person consultations
  • Record patient encounters, including symptoms and observations
  • Provide patients with referrals as needed
  • Perform daily administrative duties, including ordering equipment and supplies
  • Provide patient care, including procedures, laboratory tests, and medication instructions
  • Work with health information management staff to develop and disseminate educational medical information
  • Provide ongoing training for clinic staff and patients
