A telemetry nurse primarily cares for patients who are on continuous cardiac monitoring due to heart conditions.

Job Brief:

We’re looking for an experienced Telemetry Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cardiac monitoring and be able to provide exceptional patient care. If you are a passionate and dedicated professional, we want you on our team!

Telemetry Nurse Duties:

  • Performs duties for the patients in their own homes through telemetry monitoring
  • Monitors patient’s vital signs, records data, and communicates any abnormalities to the physician
  • Record all data, complete all paperwork, and report observations to physician
  • Communicate with physicians, families, patients, and staff
  • Deliver patient’s medications, ensure medications are taken, and record dosage
  • Maintain accurate patient medication records
  • Maintain patient’s charts

Telemetry Nurse Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing care to telemetry patients, following established policies and procedures to provide for their needs
  • Monitor patient’s condition, respond to patient needs, and report findings to physicians
  • Maintain accurate patient records
  • Encourage participation in rehabilitative programs
  • Practicing excellent communication skills to encourage patient and family participation in patient care
  • Performing other duties as assigned

Requirements And Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field
  • 1+ years experience in telemetry nursing
  • Knowledge of telemetry monitoring equipment, including patient monitors, blood pressure cuffs, pulse oximeters and blood-pressure transducers
  • Knowledge of cardiac monitoring equipment and procedures
  • Knowledge of body
