Job Brief:

We're looking for a Territory Sales Manager to help us increase sales in our assigned territory. The ideal candidate will have experience managing sales teams and increasing sales in a comparable territory. If you are a motivated sales professional with a proven track record of success, we want to hear from you!

Territory Sales Manager Duties:

  • Develop sales strategies for assigned territories, focusing on developing new business and expanding existing business
  • Develop a business plan, including strategies for increasing revenue and market share
  • Develop and manage a competitive sales plan
  • Develop territory sales budgets and forecasts
  • Research market trends, products and services
  • Work closely with internal departments, focusing on market opportunities
  • Build and maintain business relationships with key decision makers
  • Develop and maintain product knowledge
  • Develop and maintain a detailed working knowledge of company products and services
  • Travel for extended periods of time
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field
  • 5+ years’ sales experience
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks
  • Desired Qualifications:  -Proficient with Microsoft Office products
  • Experience in construction, construction products, or related industry
  • A minimum of 3-5 years’ sales

Territory Sales Manager Responsibilities:

  • Support larger sales efforts, including planning, organizing, and performing prospecting activities, maintaining customer databases, evaluating opportunities, and seeking new business opportunities
  • Performs market research to understand customer needs, evaluate competitive offerings, and determine appropriate pricing and positioning
  • Develops and executes sales strategies, including preparing sales plans and sales forecasting
  • Develops and maintains effective relationships with customers and sales personnel, as well as with public agencies, developers, builders, and engineers
  • Maintains knowledge of local and regional market conditions, and prepares for all customer and business development meetings
