Traffic Coordinator Duties:

  • Ensure that appropriate safety procedures are in place

Traffic Coordinator Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and implementing all traffic control measures for construction and reconstruction projects, including coordination with local authorities, state, and federal agencies, and community organizations
  • Conduct traffic studies, develop traffic control plans, and implement traffic control strategies
  • Provide traffic control plans, traffic control operations, and traffic support to all construction activities
  • Coordinate permitting requirements for all traffic control elements
  • Monitor real-time traffic conditions, coordinate with other traffic and operations personnel, and provide traffic control support
  • Manage the preconstruction, construction, and project closeout of traffic control plans
  • Assist in training, supervising, and motivating traffic control personnel

Requirements And Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Five years of experience in managing/coordinating traffic operations
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to organize, prioritize, and plan traffic operations
  • Leadership skills in a fast paced environment
