Job Brief:

We're looking for a Transcriber to help us with a project. We have a lot of audio that needs to be transcribed, and we're hoping to find someone who can help us out. If you're interested, please let us know. Thanks!

Transcriber Duties:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols
  • Locate, identify, transcribe, and copy information from recordings such as voice memos, interviews, meetings, and interviews
  • Demonstrate excellent note-taking skills
  • Provide accurate transcriptions in Microsoft Word
  • Conduct research using Internet resources to find phone numbers, addresses, and other information for transcription
  • Provide transcriptions to project managers

Transcriber Responsibilities:

  • Listen to audio files and transcribe in Word format
  • Proofread and polish audio, including correcting errors, adding emphasis, and smoothing transitions between sentences
  • Work well independently and as part of a team, adhere to the style guide and brand standards, meet deadlines, and proofread documents for grammatical, punctuation, and spelling errors
  • Receive, understand, and follow verbal instructions and e-mails
  • Institute process improvements to optimize transcription process
  • Investigate and resolve transcription errors
  • Work overtime as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
