Trauma Surgeon Duties:

  • Implement and oversee trauma surgical procedures, including pre and post-op care
  • Interpret surgical plans, algorithms, and outcomes data, ensuring adherence to protocol
  • Develop and implement clinical plans and guidelines
  • Recommend new and alternative procedures or equipment to address new patient treatment needs
  • Staff, train, and evaluate all trauma surgery staff
  • Review surgical outcomes, ensuring improvements in patient care quality
  • Develop and implement protocols and policies

Trauma Surgeon Responsibilities:

  • Board certification in Surgery
  • 3+ years trauma surgery experience, including 1+ year of trauma center experience
  • Experience in operative procedures, general trauma, critical care, trauma resuscitation, and trauma research
  • Knowledge of trauma center policies, procedures
