Job Brief:

We’re looking for a Urologist to join our team and provide compassionate care to our patients. The ideal candidate will be a board-certified or board-eligible Urologist with a passion for patient care and a strong interest in teaching and research.

Urologist Duties:

  • Diagnose and treat illnesses and disorders of the organs of the urinary system
  • Provide specialized medical care to patients
  • Assemble appropriate diagnostic and treatment strategies
  • Maintain and update professional knowledge by participating in continuing medical education
  • Monitor the effectiveness of treatment plans and adjust to changes in patient conditions
  • Utilize physician referral services for consultations
  • Encourage and maintain open and supportive relationships with patients and their families
  • Maintain effective relationships with other physicians
  • Maintain patient confidentiality
  • Maintain appropriate documentation and records

Urologist Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full spectrum of multiple surgical procedures and non-surgical procedures for male and female patients, including prostate, kidney, bladder, and kidney stones
  • Perform office-based procedures such as cystoscopy, urodynamics, urodynamics with uroflowmetry, and bladder biopsies
  • Perform surgical procedures, including cystoscopy, TURP, ureteroscopy, prostatectomy, prostatectomy with pelvic lymph node dissection, and bladder neck suspension
  • Perform ultrasound-guided procedures and injections
  • Perform vascular and urologic procedures
  • Incoming patients, schedule appointments, and develop treatment plans
  • Perform minimally invasive surgery
  • Communicate with referring physicians, insurance companies, and other medical professionals
  • Attend staff meetings, conferences and continuing education courses
  • Manage patient records and billings

Requirements And Skills:

  • Doctorate in urology
  • 3+ years experience in clinical urology
  • Knowledge of general urology and surgical technique
  • Knowledge of research and clinical research
