A valet is also known as a “cab” or “taxi.

” A valet is normally four-wheeled instead of two-wheeled in order to better carry cargo.

The limo or limousine is a modified valet, or “stretch limo,” typically used for carrying people.

Job Brief

We’re looking for a Valet to help us with our event.

Valet Duties

• Assist with loading and unloading of guests from all vehicles
• Provide immediate assistance to guests with baggage and other needs
• Maintain a safe, clean, and professional working environment
• Be professional and courteous to all guests

Valet Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of all assigned areas
• Create solutions that improve speed and efficiency, and suggest improvements
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for all guests, other building occupants, and employees
• Requisition and maintain equipment and supplies
• Maintain records, logs, and logs of complaints
• Assist with pre-opening and grand opening activities and events
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements and Skills

• Experience with valet parking, including customer service
• Able to put customer’s safety first by maintaining awareness of surroundings, vehicles, and pedestrians
• Ability to effectively manage high volume of traffic in a fast paced environment
• Proficient at up-selling and suggestive selling techniques
