The Vice President of Sales, or VP Sales, is one of the highest-ranking executives in a company’s sales department.

The VP Sales is tasked with hiring, training, and managing sales staff as well as monitoring sales staff’s activity and performance.

The VP Sales also heads the sales department’s compensation department, which determines how sales staff are paid for their sales efforts.

The VP Sales is responsible for revenue generation, meeting quotas, and negotiating agreements.

Job Brief:

We're looking for a Vice President of Sales to join our team and help us grow our business. As our Vice President of Sales, you will be responsible for leading our sales team and developing new business opportunities. If you are a proven sales leader with a track record of success, we want to hear from you.

Vice President of Sales Duties:

  • Develop, implement, and oversee revenue generating sales strategies
  • Develop, maintain, and improve relationships with prospective clients
  • Oversee and direct sales personnel in the execution of sales strategies
  • Meet with clients on a regular basis to review projects, discuss strategies, and negotiate contracts
  • Conduct on-site evaluations and prepare proposals
  • Coordinate client meetings and presentation

Vice President of Sales Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate, price, and close new construction and remodeling projects, including preconstruction estimating, price negotiations, and contract administration
  • Research and identify new business opportunities and industry practices, and work to strengthen relationships with architects, engineers, and consultants
  • Oversee and assist in the design of sales and marketing strategies for new and remodeled construction projects
  • Manage and mentor assigned sales representatives to achieve set goals, and monitor the progress of projects
