Videographer Job Description

A videographer is a person who makes films with the camera or camera-like devices.

Videographers not only use video cameras or video cameras-like devices but may manipulate the images on the camera during shooting or editing.

They may shoot or film on film or video.

A videographer can produce videos on a wide variety of subjects.

Documentary videographers produce visual images and sound for a documentary about a wide variety of topics.

They typically interview people, visit locations, record events, and look for anecdotes and other interesting events and occurrences to put into a documentary film.

Job Brief:

We’re looking for a Videographer to come and help us capture our wedding day. We would love to have someone who is creative and can help us create a beautiful video that we will cherish for years to come.

Videographer Duties:

• Provide quality video and photography to meet production and organizational goals
• Film, edit, and broadcast video
• Produce and edit pictures
• Provide professional quality video, photos, and graphics
• Communicate with supervisors, clients, videographers, and others
• Understand operations requirements and project goals
• Show initiative and follow direction
• Meet productivity standards
• Provide input for improvements in operational methods

Videographer Responsibilities:

• Obtain relevant footage from assigned sites, including shooting, editing, and delivering footage to clients
• Act as on-site liaison with video team to ensure the highest level of customer service
• Assist with administrative duties and office duties

Requirements And Skills:

• Photographic background a plus
• Proven experience capturing video both indoors and outdoors
• Knowledge of editing software (VSDC, Final Cut Pro, After Effects)
• Professional presentation delivery ability
• Ability to edit video to add special effects, transitions, or graphic
