Wholesale Account Manager is a person affiliated with the marketing department, whose primary purpose is to sell products (or services) to business owners or managers, who are referred to as wholesale buyers.

Wholesale buyers are buyers of wholesale merchandise or products who do not sell directly to consumers.

Wholesale buyers are generally associated with large companies and often operate warehouses or distribution plants.

Wholesale buyers often purchase large quantities, ranging from 1-5,000 or more, of products.

Wholesalers often need additional help than retail buyers.

Wholesalers need special products, such as custom packaging, wholesale-only labels

Job Brief:

We’re looking for a Wholesale Account Manager to help us develop and expand our relationships with wholesale customers. The ideal candidate will have experience managing accounts and developing new business opportunities. They will be outgoing and have excellent communication skills. Wholesale Account Manager Duties:

  • Maximize revenue, profits, and customer satisfaction by managing and maintaining product levels and customer relationships
  • Maintain and develop relationships with key customers and vendors to ensure satisfaction
  • Oversee and manage stocking, purchasing expenses, and inventory at multiple locations
  • Develop and implement regular and periodic customer and vendor meetings
  • Liaise with wholesale merchants and other financial institutions
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Organize and supervise warehouse personnel
  • Manage all company assets including shipping label printing
  • Oversee ordering of vehicle parts, repairs, and maintenance
  • Develop and maintain organization’s electronic database
  • Identify and pursue large projects to maximize profits and revenue
  • Maintain and foster a culture of enthusiasm and excellence

Wholesale Account Manager Responsibilities:

  • Develop and monitor sales forecasts, reports, and budgets
  • Develop sales plans and strategies, and oversee the implementation of their execution
  • Develop and maintain a positive and collaborative working relationship with clients
  • Assume responsibility for client and customer relationships, and be accountable for producing sales
  • Insist on and follow all company policies and procedures
  • Work closely with the sales department
  • Create and maintain internal databases in order to keep an accurate picture of client activity
  • Meet sales, marketing, and customer service goals and demands
  • Develop and implement new sales and marketing strategies
  • Communicate with and report information to upper management
  • Ensure everything is complete before a project ends

Requirements And Skills:

  • Proven sales experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Marketing
  • Knowledge of wholesale coffee/consumer coffee/coffee culture
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to represent wholesale account in a positive manner
