Job Brief:

We’re looking for a Drafter to join our team! We need someone who is detail oriented and can work independently. If you have experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or other drafting software, we want you!

Drafter Duties:

  • Compile, present, and interpret engineering and architectural plans, specifications, specifications, and sketches.
  • Drafts drawings and plans using engineering software.
  • Uses computer-aided design (CAD) software to create sectional and elevation drawings.
  • Works with engineers, architects, and clients to lay out, design, and draft drawings.
  • Ensures that revisions to plans are properly made.
  • Writes specifications, plans, and diagrams.
  • Reviews construction documents for accuracy.
  • Performs calculations using standard engineering mathematics to determine loads and stresses on structures.
  • Assists engineers and architects in meeting deadlines.
  • Completes technical, mathematical, and other knowledge-based tasks.
  • Interacts with engineering staff.
  • Performs research or analytical studies.
  • Reviews engineering product specifications.

Drafter Responsibilities:

  • Perform architectural, civil, and mechanical drafting, using AutoCAD.
  • Develop designs for site plans, civil site plans, site development plans, site utility plans, parking lots, roadways, retaining walls, and drainage systems.
  • Ensure professional appearance, correctness, and completeness of drawings.
  • Prepare detailed layouts of site improvement projects.
  • Generate reports for cost estimating.
  • Assist with project proposals.
  • Support plant operations.

Requirements And Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Revit modeling software.
  • Experience in drafting of road and/or highway layouts, including grading, drainage, and utilities.
  • Knowledge of municipal and county engineering regulations, and familiarity with local construction standards.
