Job Brief:

We’re looking for a Dump Truck Driver to help us move some dirt around on our construction site. If you have a valid driver’s license and experience driving a dump truck, we’d love to have you on our team.

Dump Truck Duties:

  • Drive the company’s dump trucks to and from job sites
  • Drive safely and according to all laws and regulations
  • Safety awareness: report all accidents, near misses and other hazards
  • Lift and move large objects and materials
  • Transport all waste to designated areas
  • Load and unload dump trucks
  • Operate and maintain trucks
  • Ensure that vehicles are fueled and that records are kept

Dump Truck Responsibilities:

  • Drive a dump truck, haul various materials, and transport debris
  • Operate a dump truck system, including hydraulic and steering systems, trailers, and load dividers
  • Ensure all equipment and materials are maintained
  • Maintain records of vehicle maintenance, including inspection, repairs, and tire replacement
  • Inspect and document tire condition, proper load size, and load distribution
  • Report any unsafe conditions, vehicle defects, or unsafe driving practices
  • Report vehicle defects and/or unsafe driving practices
  • Inspect vehicle records to verify completion and accuracy of work reports
  • Document vehicle inspections, including vehicle identification numbers, maintenance, and inspection dates
  • Take ownership of projects and complete tasks in a timely manner
  • Complete all projects in accordance with quality standards
  • Meet daily, weekly, and monthly goals
  • Maintain written and verbal communication

Requirements And Skills:

  • Pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Ability to read and speak the English language
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Current driver’s license
