Job Brief:

We’re looking for an Entry Level Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in accounting and finance, and will be able to work independently and as part of a team.

Entry Level Accountant Duties:

  • Implement, maintain, and evaluate financial systems, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, and other accounting processes
  • Assist in financial analysis and decision making
  • Maintain financial data records
  • Prepare spreadsheets and reports using accounting software
  • Prepare monthly financial reports
  • Prepare journal entries
  • Research and resolve accounting issues
  • Maintain confidentiality

Entry Level Accountant Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to the general ledger, accounts payable, payroll, inventory, and cash management teams
  • Calculate inventory corrections, assist purchasing with purchase orders, supply reconciliation, and reclassify items for accurate reporting
  • Record journal entries, prepare and reconcile general ledger accounts, and process payroll preparation
  • Assist in monthly and quarterly closing procedures
  • Prepare bank reconciliation statements and process bank deposits
  • Coordinate and assist with audits as needed
  • Process accounts payable invoices and process vendor payments
  • Process payroll for full time staff
  • Process payroll for part-time and temporary staff

Requirements And Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 2+ years experience in a Financial Accounting role in a Construction Industry
  • Previous experience in an Accounting role
  • Excellent technical accounting skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Good written and oral communication skills
