We’re looking for Respiratory Care Practitioner to fill a position in our hospital. Respiratory Care Practitioner Duties:

  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for patients
  • Perform pulmonary function tests, arterial blood gas tests, and chest x-rays
  • Record the values and results of the tests
  • Interpret the results
  • Advise on medication adjustments
  • Direct patients to perform breathing exercises
  • Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on patients with cardiac arrest
  • Perform other related work as required
  • Attend in-service training

Respiratory Care Practitioner Responsibilities:

  • Must have an Associate of Applied Science in Respiratory Care
  • Must have 1 or more years of experience
  • Must have valid Certification
  • Must have current NRP credential
  • Must have CPR certification (including AED)
  • Must have knowledge of medical terminology

Requirements And Skills:

  • Perform pulmonary function testing, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and cardiopulmonary intervention in clinical, educational, and research settings
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with patients and families
  • Conduct routine respiratory therapy procedures, including ventilator care, aerosol therapy and nebulizer therapy, on inpatients and outpatients
  • Order, stock, and maintain supplies and equipment, including ventilators and nebulizers
  • Conduct pulmonary function testing
  • Conduct cardiopulmonary resuscitation and cardiopulmonary intervention in clinical, educational, and research settings
