What are Millennials?

Millennials are individuals born between 1980-2000 and makeup 25% of the American population between the ages of 18-35.

Why Are millennials Necessary?

As our world changes and becomes more complex, the need for millennials in the workforce becomes more apparent. Here are four reasons why millennials are necessary in today’s workforce:

1. They’re tech-savvy.

As digital natives, millennials are extremely comfortable with technology and are able to use it to their advantage in the workplace. With their skills in digital marketing, social media, and web design, they are able to bring a unique perspective to the table that can help businesses stay ahead of the curve.

2. They’re entrepreneurial.

Millennials are known for their entrepreneurial spirit, and this trait is extremely valuable in the workplace.

How Can Employers and Managers Better Engage Millennials?

Companies are finding that they employ a large number of millennials, and as they get older, millennials are stepping into management positions.

Millennials generally have a positive outlook on their future, but employers are finding that they are less loyal and more likely to change jobs. Although millennials may have the willingness to do a good job, their managers are not engaging them effectively. As millennials age into management, managers need to engage them differently.
