An ASP.NET developer is someone whose job it is to create software applications using Microsoft technologies.

While the name “ASP.NET developer” is new, the use of Microsoft technologies to create applications is far from new.

Job Brief:

We’re looking for an experienced APS.NET Developer to work on a new project. The ideal candidate will have experience with developing web applications using ASP.NET and C#. They will also have experience with SQL Server and Entity Framework.

ASP.NET Developer Duties:

  • Develop enterprise applications using ASP, .NET, SQL Server, XML, Web Services, and related technologies
  • Design, develop, and maintain database applications
  • Perform data analysis and data manipulation
  • Execute software development, test, and implementation
  • Provide technical support
  • Maintain software quality
  • Design, develop, implement, and test solutions for electronic commerce
  • Establish and maintain networks
  • Identify and address modifications and enhancements to existing business systems
  • Utilize project management methodologies
  • Work with product management and client services to implement and maintain business solutions

ASP.NET Developer Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and support applications using Microsoft technologies, including OLTP, business intelligence, and SOA
  • Maintain and update applications as business requirements change
  • Develop, test, and deploy applications using CI/CD tools, including Team Foundation Server and Jenkins
  • Implement and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell, Python, or Ruby
  • Oversee process development, change management, and application support
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and external vendors to ensure successful application industrialization
  • Assist with requirement analysis and documentation
  • Conduct technical design reviews
  • Promote and maintain high application quality, availability, and security standards
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned

Requirements And Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field; 4+ years of related experience
  • Experience implementing web applications in ASP.NET
  • Good understanding of OOP (object-oriented programming) concepts
  • Experience using LINQ to SQL
  • Experience with SQL Server
