MIS Executive Job Description

The MIS Executive is an individual who is responsible for implementing and maintaining an organization’s information systems.

The MIS Executive is responsible for gathering and analyzing data related to the company’s information systems, managing and overseeing their implementation, and developing and managing the company’s information systems.

The MIS Executive also manages and implements information technology (IT) projects, and monitors and troubleshoots application errors.

The MIS Executive also works with management to develop and raise IT issues within the organization as well as to develop innovative new IT policies and procedures.

Job Brief:

We’re looking for an MIS Executive to join our team and help us manage our information systems. As our MIS Executive, you will be responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures for our information systems. You will also be responsible for training staff on how to use our information systems.

MIS Executive Duties:

  • Manage all facets of MIS including IT management, IT projects, and IT facilities
  • Ensure initiatives are aligned with all facets of the organization
  • Manage, oversee, and effectively monitor all IT operations
  • Provide various hardware/software solutions and solutions to business issues
  • Maintain confidentiality of all employees, customers, and company records
  • Manage, develop, and oversee all IT personnel
  • Develop and oversee the development of MIS systems
  • Develop and oversee the development of all network systems
  • Develop and oversee the development of all software applications
  • Provide enterprise-wide and branch-level IT management and monitoring

MIS Executive Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain MIS systems (i.e., system development and upgrades, application interfaces, data entry, reporting, and data archiving); provide technical support to end users; and train users
  • Coordinate and build relationships with vendors to ensure successful achievement of all systems objectives
  • Evaluate and test new software upgrades and implement according to project plan
  • Maintain current hardware and software inventories; recommend acquisition of additional hardware and software as required
  • Evaluate and recommend hardware configurations, software upgrades, and new software installations to meet users’ needs
  • Provide technical advice and support to end users
  • Manage and coordinate MIS team members
  • Lead and monitor MIS projects
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements And Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering
  • Minimum 6+ years of relevant experience
  • Solid knowledge of data entry and mapping
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Good working knowledge of MIS tools, applications, and concepts such as ERP, CRM, ERP, etc.
