Job Brief:

We’re looking for a Satellite Technician to install and maintain our satellite equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with satellite equipment and be able to troubleshoot any problems that may arise.

Satellite Technician Duties:

  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot satellite and cable systems
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot DIRECTV Receivers
  • Support equipment with troubleshooting and repair
  • Perform equipment inventory
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and programming
  • Manage inventory
  • Assist clients with equipment setup and troubleshooting
  • Assist with installation and service offerings
  • Use various tools, equipment, and test equipment to troubleshoot and repair equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment
  • Perform routine checks on equipment

Satellite Technician Responsibilities:

  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair satellite dishes and related equipment to ensure satellite communications operate properly
  • Repair and reprogram video and audio equipment
  • Clean and repair satellites to ensure proper function
  • Assist customers in choosing a satellite dish and related equipment to meet their needs
  • Train and troubleshoot satellite-related issues
  • Provide customer service, including answering phone calls
  • Assist with customer installations
  • Maintain log book and paperwork
  • Assist with inventory
  • Conduct periodic inventory counts
  • Maintain equipment
  • Maintain company vehicles

Requirements And Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electronics, computer science, or related field
  • At least three (3) years of experience working in satellite or wireless communications
  • Experience working overnight/weekends
  • Knowledge of various types of satellite communications systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word
