Carpet Installer Job Description

A carpet installer is a person who installs carpet in a customer’s home or business.

Carpet installers work with different pieces of carpet, including carpet tiles, broadloom, or yarn.

Carpet installers typically use a carpet sewing machine and carpet adhesive.

They clean and prepare the floors before laying the carpet, and then roll, stretch, and cut the carpet to fit the customer’s space.

Carpet installers often follow floor plans to lay out the carpet, and then make small cuts and tucks to ensure that the carpet is placed evenly.

Carpet installers may specialize in one type of carpet installation, such as residential carpet installation
