A Finance Associate is a person employed by a Financial Institution (bank, credit union, or insurance company) to perform a wide variety of specialized activities.

Job Brief:

We’re looking for a Finance Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in finance or accounting and be able to work independently as well as part of a team. The Finance Associate will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to, assisting with the preparation of financial statements, supporting the accounting team with month-end closing, and helping to maintain the general ledger. Finance Associate Duties:

  • Review and analyze financial data to prepare reports, statements, and recommendations
  • Monitor cash flow and ensure adequate funding for all company operations
  • Establish accounting and internal control procedures, procedures, and policies
  • Advise senior staff on financial issues and requirements
  • Attend meetings and provide reports from accounting
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Finance Associate Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate financial records for all projects, including invoices, purchase orders, purchase order adjustments, and budgets
  • Prepare and calculate invoices and billings, and monitor payments
  • Manage accounts receivable and payables
  • Monitor payroll
  • Manage accounts payable
  • Perform general ledger, income statement, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports based on project and company data
  • Assist with audit and annual financial audits

Requirements And Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree (business, accounting, finance, economics, or related field)
  • 2+ years experience in finance, accounting, or tax related services
  • Ability to analyze and record financial transactions
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate
