Glazier Job Description

A glazier is a person who repairs windows, glass, and mirrors.

The term glazier is derived from the Latin word “glagere,” which means to “to cover” or “to cover with glass.

”In the past, a carpenter would usually perform much of the work associated with glaziering.

This changed as glassmaking became more technical, and it was noted that glaziers were often skilled at their trade.

A glazier learned to construct and repair glass by working under a master glass maker.
