Job Brief:

We’re looking for Surveyor to help us map out the area.

Surveyor Duties:

  • Survey land for construction, development, and improvement projects
  • Analyze designs, plans, elevations, and surveys to determine locations of structures and improvements
  • Calculate and compute areas, volumes, and other measurements of land, structures, or improvements
  • Draw sketches, plans, maps, graphs, tables, charts, or diagrams of diagrams, plans, and maps
  • Clarify concepts and information by completing necessary research and investigations
  • Plan and organize work schedules to meet deadlines
  • Perform related duties as assigned

Surveyor Responsibilities:

  • Survey land and buildings to establish boundaries, elevations, and areas
  • Record site information, including coordinates and dimensions, in survey notebooks, including stakeouts, elevations, metes and bounds, and measurements
  • Design surveys and preliminary plats
  • Perform topographic surveys
  • Perform legal surveys
  • Perform boundary surveys
  • Perform topographic surveys
  • Perform legal surveys
  • Conduct research and other analyses related to surveys
  • Use CAD tools to create accurate maps, diagrams, and drawings
  • Submit surveys and plats to local authorities for map approval

Requirements And Skills:

  • Proficiency with field surveying equipment, including advanced GPS technology
  • Proficient with automated drafting software, including AutoCAD and ArcGIS
  • Ability to work productively over large distances and in remote areas
  • Proficient in the use of field surveying methods and equipment
