Strategic Planner Duties:

  • Use strong analytical skills and decision-making capabilities for organizational growth and development
  • Develop, test, and implement strategic plans for the organization
  • Make recommendations based on research, trends, and data
  • Work with marketing, sales, and other internal departments to work effectively toward a common goal
  • Create financial forecasts for yearly and quarterly purposes
  • Create action plans for goals
  • Participate in budget development, monitoring, and evaluating
  • Develop an understanding of operational and managerial systems
  • Identify, monitor, and evaluate key performance indicators
  • Provide ongoing coaching and training
  • Oversee the operation and effectiveness of the organization’s IT operations

Strategic Planner Responsibilities:

  • Assist in defining and executing the company’s growth strategies and long-term objectives
  • Maintain and update project schedules, milestone tracking, and project performance reports
  • Provide input on business plans, sales forecasts, budgets, and capital requirements
  • Prepare financial analyses, including monthly and annual reports, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements, and assist in financial modeling and analysis of potential investments
  • Attend management meetings, financial reviews, and strategic planning sessions

Requirements And Skills:

  • BA/BS degree required
  • 5+ years experience in strategic planning, including market research, competitive analysis, and business development planning
  • Excellent analytical, strategic-thinking, and budgeting abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a constant eye on quality
  • Excellent communication and collaboration
