We’re looking for an AutoCAD Drafter to join our team to help us with our current and future projects. As an AutoCAD Drafter, you will be responsible for creating 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD software. If you have a strong attention to detail and are able to work independently, then we want you on our team!

AutoCAD Drafter Duties

  • Create 2D CAD drawings for architectural, mechanical, or structural projects
  • Obtain input from architects, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders
  • Use computer software and mobile devices to efficiently create drawings
  • Program 2D CAD drawings using AutoCAD

AutoCAD Drafter Responsibilities

  • -Study architectural and structural drawings, blueprints, and other job-related documents and prepare specifications, quantities, and drawings of proposed work
  • -Use CAD software to create accurate drawings
  • -Prepare shop drawings and shop bills of materials and procure materials as needed
  • -Track inventory and notify management of shortages or overages
  • -Build models, shop drawings, and 3D drawings
  • -Build and test prototypes
  • -Manage personnel and oversee project work

Requirements and Skills

  • -4+ years of drafting experience, including experience with AutoCAD
  • -Ability to create and design architectural products and projects
  • -ability to work with various graphic formats
  • -Knowledge of construction methods and technologies, and ability to interpret technical drawings and contracts
  • -Knowledge of building codes, standards, and practices
