Job Brief:

We’re looking for a Home Health Aide to provide compassionate care to our patients. The Home Health Aide will be responsible for providing personal care, light housekeeping, and companionship to our patients.

Home Health Aide Duties:

  • Provide personal care to clients in home setting as a CNA
  • Assist in providing basic hygiene, grooming, and transportation to clients
  • Manage medication intake and personal diet
  • Provide a comforting environment by managing emotional needs
  • Assist clients in maintaining the safety of their homes
  • Perform housekeeping tasks
  • Assist clients with special health care needs
  • Perform administrative duties

Home Health Aide Responsibilities:

  • Assist the clients and physicians with all non-medical needs, which includes bathing, dressing, feeding, and assistance with medication
  • Establish a safe working relationship between staff and client, which includes maintaining confidentiality and remaining alert to signs of abuse or neglect
  • Evaluate clients’ physical and mental condition, and provide assistance as needed
  • Greet clients, inform physicians and supervisors of any change in client status, and maintain accurate records of daily activities and care provided
  • Assist clients with moving and handling, including transfers and positioning, and provide assistance as needed
  • Provide companionship to clients who are unable to remain active
  • Provide emotional support to clients
  • Take vital signs, check pulse, respiration rate, and blood pressure
  • Refuse or assist clients with unauthorized medication
  • Monitor and maintain safe work environment

Requirements And Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Previous experience working in healthcare
  • Strong understanding of Medicare guidelines
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology
  • Strong interpersonal skills
