We’re looking for a Medical-Surgical Nurse to join our team and provide care for our patients. The ideal candidate will be a Registered Nurse with experience in a medical-surgical setting. Medical-Surgical Nurse Duties:

  • Assist physicians in providing care to patients
  • Operate medical equipment in the operating room
  • Monitor patients’ conditions during the procedure and afterwards
  • Monitor vital signs
  • Perform CPR and administer medications
  • Assist with drawing blood, preparing specimens, and administering injections
  • Perform other nursing duties for assigned patients

Medical-Surgical Nurse Responsibilities:

  • Registered nurse with current license
  • 3-5 years’ experience providing care to patients, families, and/or population based
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with common procedures or treatments / diagnostic services
  • Team player with ability to work cohesively with other medical professionals
  • Knowledge of federal and state

Requirements And Skills:

  • Provide nursing care to surgical and bariatric patients, under supervision, in a physician’s office
  • Provide pre-operative, intra-operative, post-operative, and post-discharge care to surgical and bariatric patients, per physician’s orders
  • Assist in wound care, monitoring vital signs, administering medication, and other duties as assigned by physician
  • Provide effective communication to physician regarding patient status, problems, and concerns
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of physician’s orders, medications, and equipment
  • Assist with ordering and maintaining inventory of supplies
  • Maintain all patient records according to physician’s requirements
  • Assist with phlebotomy and related duties
  • Understand and enforce all appropriate safety policies and procedures
  • Report all safety concerns to the manager or supervisor
  • Assist in gathering, compiling, and analyzing statistical data on patient satisfaction
