Job Brief:

We’re looking for a Lecturer to teach a variety of courses in our department. The ideal candidate will have a PhD in a relevant field, and experience teaching at the university level.

Lecturer Duties:

• Prepare weekly and monthly class notes
• Study student activities and performance
• Create learning objectives
• Develop assignments and lesson plans
• Demonstrate control of the classroom, maintaining a safe learning environment
• Provide constructive feedback to students
• Oversee classroom activities, facilities, and equipment
• Develop and administer tests
• Create and modify course materials
• Meet with students individually, in small groups, or in groups
• Train and coach other teachers or faculty as needed
• Evaluate students’ coursework and progress
• Develop and implement assessment strategies
• Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures within the classroom
• Enforce school policy and regulations
• Provide feedback to instructors, staff, students, and administrators to improve teaching effectiveness

Lecturer Responsibilities:

• Lead lectures for a variety of classes, including on-site instruction and classroom teaching
• Develop, create, and deliver lectures, presentations, and presentations
• Plan and implement learning goals for students
• Maintain and improve student evaluations
• Engage students in classroom discussions, active learning, and lab activities

Requirements And Skills:

• Proven experience teaching vocational, technical, or similar college-level courses
• Excellent ability to design and deliver effective, engaging, and impactful instruction
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills with individuals at all levels of the organization
• Strong ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships with other faculty and staff
