Oracle Database Administrator Job Description

An Oracle Database Administrator is a person that administers Oracle database.

The administrator is responsible for monitoring and managing databases.

The administrator also ensures that all data changes are done in a controlled manner.

The DBA is also responsible for maintaining a database load through database tuning.

The DBA also needs to ensure the availability of the database systems by regularly monitoring the databases performance.

Job Brief:

We’re looking for an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of Oracle database internals, performance tuning, and high availability solutions.

Oracle Database Administrator Duties:

• Implement, maintain, and upgrade an organization’s Oracle database systems to meet changing business requirements
• Work closely with the Oracle database technology vendor to ensure optimal performance and reliability
• Implement measures to ensure database system integrity, security, and backup procedures are in place
• Maintain, upgrade, and troubleshoot Oracle database systems
• Document database systems and procedures

Oracle Database Administrator Responsibilities:

Requirements And Skills:

• 5+ years experience in administering and supporting Oracle database systems
• Knowledge of database architecture and system requirements
• Proven proficiency with Oracle PL/SQL and database design
• Proven ability to develop and manage database security
