Job Brief:

We’re looking for a Payroll Accountant to join our team! As a Payroll Accountant, you will be responsible for processing payroll for our employees, as well as preparing and filing payroll tax returns. You will also work closely with our HR team to ensure that all employee data is accurate and up-to-date. Payroll Accountant Duties:

  • Track and process payroll in a timely manner
  • Maintain accurate employee files, including payroll records
  • Provide assistance to human resources personnel on complex/special payroll issues
  • Process retirement, termination, and resignation forms
  • Prepare payroll reports, including W2s
  • Enforce federal and state payroll regulations
  • Create and maintain payroll records
  • Oversee payroll deductions

Payroll Accountant Responsibilities:

  • Pay wages, payroll taxes, and other employee compensation; process hourly time sheets and payroll records; and maintain time and payroll records, such as W-2s, W-3s, and unemployment reports
  • Maintain employee benefit packages, including health insurance, life insurance, retirement plans, and other benefits
  • Assist with payroll processing and employee termination
  • Maintain accurate and updated records of all payroll activities
  • Tax and benefit filing
  • Other duties as assigned
