Job Brief:

We’re looking for Radio DJ to play music and talk on the radio. We need someone who is outgoing and can keep the listeners entertained. If you think you have what it takes, then we want to hear from you!

Radio DJ Duties:

  • Play pre-recorded music according to a format, with periodic announcements
  • Oversee the station’s sound equipment to ensure optimum playback of songs
  • Mop floors, empty trash, and tidy studio
  • Establish rapport with station callers
  • Write articles, press releases, and other promotional materials
  • Shout out facts and information as requested
  • Promote station events

Radio DJ Responsibilities:

  • Create audio content and schedule airtime for 2 to 5 radio stations (each station will broadcast 2+ hours a day)
  • Create on-air commercials
  • Create promotional announcements
  • Make regular visits to radio stations for show prep and meet and greets
  • Attend studio and company events
  • Conduct interviews with guests
  • Produce and record weekly podcast
  • Manage social media
  • Manage 2 employees

Requirements And Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years’ experience in radio or broadcasting
  • Knowledge of radio operations, including commercial, news, and sports programming
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations
  • Strong oral and written communication, persuasive, and presentation skills
  • Strong knowledge of Zefr
