A cosmetologist is a professional who offers cosmetic and therapeutic treatments, such as facials, manicures, and pedicures.

Cosmetologist Duties:

• Clean and groom hair, nails, and other body areas
• Establish and maintain a positive rapport with customers
• Utilize proper sanitation and sterilization practices when cleaning hair, nails, and body areas
• Provide hair styling services
• Evaluate hair, skin, and nail conditions to determine appropriate treatment
• Evaluate customer’s hair, skin, and nail condition and recommend proper treatment
• Properly store merchandise

Cosmetologist Responsibilities:

• Demonstrates expertise in cosmetology and develops and maintains effective relationships with clients
• Offers beauty services, such as haircuts, hair coloring, and styling
• Performs facials, body treatments, manicures, pedicures, and makeup application
• Develops unique fragrances and designs makeup
• Participates in sales activities, which may include assisting clients with their purchases
• Receives periodic training, attends meetings, and maintains professional appearance

Requirements And Skills:

• 4+ years experience in a salon or spa environment
• Current licenses for all assisting services at the state/local level
• Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of Spa experience or Cosmetology experience
• Current esthetician certificate
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
