Job Brief:

We’re looking for a Financial Counselor to provide guidance and support to those who are struggling with their finances. You will be responsible for helping people create budget plans, negotiating with creditors, and providing general financial advice. Financial Counselor Duties:

  • Provide financial advice and tools to homeowners and prospective buyers
  • Manage and maintain relationships with clients
  • Develop a financial plan for clients
  • Assist in financial planning procedures
  • Manage mortgage, credit, and insurance accounts
  • Keep up-to-date on industry trends
  • Become certified in residential mortgage lending

Financial Counselor Responsibilities:

  • Develop individual and organization financial profiles
  • Conduct financial analysis to assist with personal and business decision making
  • Develop and maintain a financial plan and a budget
  • Work with outside advisors and specialists on real estate investments, cash flow analysis, and tax planning
  • Propose operational improvements based on financial analysis

  • Integrate accounting functions into day-to-day business activities
  • Implement and monitor all internal controls
  • Keep accurate records of all transactions

Requirements And Skills:

  • Earnings of at least $30,000/year as a financial counselor (or similar)
  • 1+ years’ proven experience as an investment advisor
  • Strong knowledge of financial principles
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Good understanding of banking and investment products
