Job Brief:

We’re looking for Veterinary Technician to provide compassionate care to our patients. As a Veterinary Technician, you will be responsible for providing medical care to animals, including vaccinations, blood tests, and x-rays. You will also assist the veterinarian in surgeries and help to educate pet owners on the proper care of their animals.

Veterinary Technician Duties:

  • Assist veterinarians with examinations of clients’ pets
  • Perform diagnostic and surgical procedures on animals
  • Provide routine care to animals
  • Clean, sterilize, and examine equipment, instruments, and supplies
  • Assist with clients’ questions and concerns
  • Perform administrative duties, such as filing records, scheduling appointments, and billing
  • Provide other support as needed

Veterinary Technician Responsibilities:

  • Assist veterinarians with emergency and routine patient care, and provide clerical support
  • Adhere to all state and federal legal requirements, and company policies, procedures, and standards

  • Prepare and administer anesthesia and sedation
  • Assist with laboratory tests

Requirements And Skills:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Valid California Veterinary Technician License
  • High School diploma or equivalent and completion of a 3-year college/university program in veterinary technology, biology, or related field
  • 4+ years veterinary experience
  • Knowledge of veterinary equipment
