Orthopedic Doctor Duties:

  • Provide medical care and treatment to patients who suffer from acute or chronic injuries or diseases of the musculoskeletal system
  • Develop and direct the orthopedic department
  • Direct all actions of the orthopedic department
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by responding to inquiries and resolving problems in a timely manner
  • Maintain the physical condition of company facilities and equipment
  • Conduct office and administrative duties related to the department

Orthopedic Doctor Responsibilities:

  • Provide medical services and surgical care to patients to prevent, diagnose, and treat orthopedic injuries and conditions
  • Offer preoperative, intra-operative, and postoperative care, including the administration of medication and anesthesia
  • Operate on patients under the supervision of a registered nurse
  • Perform physical assessments to identify and treat any orthopedic impairments
  • Perform diagnostic and noninvasive imaging procedures
  • Perform surgery on patients, including minimally invasive procedures
  • Assist with the preparation of operating rooms
  • Consult with patients, their families, and other medical professionals about treatments, medications, and surgical procedures
  • Represent the hospital at professional conferences, and in joint medical, nursing, and anesthesia committees
  • Review patient progress, and report relevant information to physicians and other medical personnel
  • Identify any irregularities or deficiencies, and report the concerns to the appropriate personnel
  • Develop treatment plans for patients, including surgical interventions

Requirements And Skills:

  • Doctorate degree in orthopedic surgery
  • Valid medical license
  • Evidence of at least five (5) years of experience treating orthopedic conditions
  • Preparation for board certification
  • Ability to speak and write both English and Mandarin
  • Knowledge of patient insurance and reimbursement practices
