Production Engineer Duties:

  • Track all materials, equipment, and labor, and report daily production figures
  • Monitor the productivity of staff, materials, and equipment to ensure maximum efficiency
  • Keep work areas clean and organized
  • Assist with the development of personnel
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
  • Uphold all health and safety procedure

Production Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Design and construct equipment, including machinery, systems, and components
  • Create specifications for components based on customer specifications and customer’s manufacturing capabilities
  • Review and revise designs as necessary; schedule and coordinate necessary design reviews with the customer
  • Research and propose alternative designs to customer’s specifications
  • Manage design reviews, engineering changes, and component or system modifications
  • Plan and supervise the fabrication, assembly, and testing of component or system prototypes
  • Manage project costs
  • Draft, manage, and revise technical documents, reports, and presentations
  • Provide technical troubleshooting and consultation to customers and subcontractors

Requirements And Skills:

  • Bachelor’s diploma in engineering or science; MBA a plus
  • At least 5 years experience in chemical process engineering
  • Knowledge of safe handling of hazardous chemicals
  • Knowledge of basic mechanical principles and equipment operations
  • Knowledge of basic electrical principles and equipment operations
