Chief Engineer Duties:

  • Develop and manage construction plans and specifications, including cost, time, and quality
  • Develop accurate timelines and budgets for all projects
  • Direct the work of architects, engineers, and other outside experts
  • Meet with and support other senior managers, including senior management in operations and finance
  • Develop procedures for construction, maintenance, and upgrade
  • Review all project documentation
  • Oversee construction contracts
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment

Requirements And Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technical field, or architecture
  • 10+ years’ proven experience managing engineering departments
  • Proven experience in structural, mechanical, and civil engineering
  • Ability to develop and maintain technical standards
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and construction
