Job Brief:

We’re looking for a Calligrapher to help us with our upcoming project.

Calligrapher Duties:

• Create original personalized artwork for clients
• Use calligraphy and lettering design to create original works of art
• Use artistic and technical knowledge to create artwork
• Create and execute original art and design concepts
• Develop artwork for possible display purposes
• Train others in techniques learned
• Create and order all related materials and supplies

Calligrapher Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with designers and executives to develop artwork for a variety of media with pen, brush, or ink
• Create original drawing s/he will translate into various digital or print medium
• Provide original drawings for print, web, and multimedia projects
• Display designs in presentations, using PowerPoint, artboards, etc.
• Work closely with clients, designers, and artists to conceptualize, develop, and refine ideas
• Make sketches of initial concepts, and revise layouts and designs
• Work closely with other designers or illustrators to resolve problems and improve work
• Sites may include studios, offices, or home offices
• Travel, sometimes locally and sometimes internationally, up to 1 week/month

Requirements And Skills:

• Proven experience in calligraphy and lettering
• Ability to create artwork for a variety of projects
• Experience using Adobe Creative Suite
• Strong multitasking ability
• Ability to work both independently and in collaboration with a team
